Journalists are permitted to attend a trial, just like members of the public, unless it has been decided that the proceedings will be held huis clos (in camera).
A journalist can request permission to be present in the courtroom through his/her newspaper, and so be able to work in better conditions.
This permission guarantees that the journalist will have a good seat in the courtroom– unlike the public. They may not record the debates, in sound or image, but they may take notes.
