ICT: counsel for the defence

Unlike the other lawyers involved in the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia or the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the defence counsel are independent lawyers.
They are not dressed in the same way.
They often come to court dressed in the traditional robe worn in their country. For example, these drawings show English lawyers wearing wigs.
